Use caseSecurity and Access

Understand exposure and access.
Choose what to change.

Security findings and permission records need context before your team can decide what to address.

CloudBound connects specialist evidence with the applications and identities involved. Understand the exposure, evaluate relevant authority and controls, and review a supported fix against the operation it needs to preserve.

After implementation, return to establish what changed and what remains unresolved.

A justified security action — with evidence behind the decision and its result.

Start with the decision

What deserves attention —
and what authority is involved?

>

Which security exposures deserve attention, and what supports that priority?

>

Who holds authority to change production, directly or through supported indirect paths?

>

What permissions do our agents and automation identities hold?

>

Which endpoint and access controls apply, and what consequence can we establish?

>

Which supported fix addresses the finding while preserving required operation?

>

What did the implemented change correct, and what remains unproven?

Keep the answer tied to the examined resources, identities, evidence period and customer requirements. Application Intelligence supplies supported application relationships; customer-provided importance and operating requirements remain identifiable as customer context.

Connected sources, granted permissions, licensing and evidence coverage affect what can be established. Missing evidence does not become a clean result.

Context for the security decision

Connect the finding, the authority
and the proposed action.

Understand the exposure

Know what the finding establishes

Examine supported security findings, provider-reported risk, exposure factors and attack paths. Explain their source, affected subjects and limitations.

Keep severity, risk and observed exploitation distinct. A reported attack path does not establish that a compromise occurred.

Trace supported authority

See who can change what

Examine relevant Azure and Entra assignments and authority paths, preserving direct, group-derived, inherited, eligible and active states.

Distinguish assigned authority, effective permissions and observed actions. Keep the agent’s own identity separate from access exercised on a user’s behalf.

Evaluate the application and controls

Put the finding in its system

Application Intelligence establishes supported relationships around the affected system.

Bring in relevant endpoint, policy and data-governance evidence. Keep device compliance, policy applicability, enforcement and actual access consequences distinct. Classification metadata does not establish data-protection enforcement.

Review the fix and verify the result

Decide, then establish what changed

Hive evaluates the proposed action and supported alternatives against the objective and operating requirements.

For supported technical findings, CloudBound can draft remediation code for human review. Preserve the finding, intended change and verification criteria, then reassess the affected subjects after authorized implementation.

Why a finding deserves attention

Explain why the finding deserves attention using the evidence available: provider-reported risk, exposure, supported authority paths, affected subjects and customer-stated requirements. Preserve each basis rather than blending them into a CloudBound security score.

Business criticality is not inferred from a resource name, type, spending level or production-looking label, and a provider’s missing risk value is not reinterpreted as low risk.

What this illustrative example assumes

These are authored illustrative premises, not findings or results from a customer environment.

    Verify the change in context

    Establish what was corrected —
    and what still needs attention.

Retain the original finding, proposed action, relevant evidence and approved criteria. After implementation, reacquire the evidence needed to evaluate that change.

Report the security or authority result separately from the operation the change needed to preserve.

    The finding or authority

    Reassess the exact subjects

Reassess the exact subjects and scope. Confirm the evaluated condition rather than treating a completed task as resolution.

    The required operation

Check what had to keep working

Check the applicable workload, access or release criteria. A narrower assignment or changed setting does not by itself establish that required operation was preserved.

    The remaining exposure

    Keep the open items visible

Keep unresolved findings, unexamined paths and conflicting evidence visible. Revisit the advice when a material premise changes.

A compliant device does not by itself establish that access was allowed or blocked. Missing inventory does not establish an unmanaged device. Data classification and sharing settings require their own evidence before drawing conclusions about effective access or protection.

question your team needs to resolve.

Start with the finding, identity or system involved — and the operation you need to preserve. We’ll show how CloudBound connects specialist evidence into a supported action and a plan for verifying the result.
